Minister for Trade

The Hon Dr Craig Emerson MP

The Hon Dr Craig Emerson MP was sworn in as Minister for Trade in September 2010. The Member for Rankin, Dr Emerson entered Parliament in 1998. In 2007, he was appointed Minister for Small Business, Independent Contractors and the Service Economy, and Minister Assisting the Finance Minister on Deregulation. In 2009, he was also appointed Minister for Competition and Consumer Affairs. Dr Emerson holds a PhD in economics from the Australian National University, Canberra.

Parliamentary Secretary for Trade

The Hon Justine Elliot MP

The Hon Justine Elliot MP became Parliamentary Secretary for Trade in September 2010. The Member for Richmond, Ms Elliot was elected to the House of Representatives in 2004. From 2007-2010 she was Minister for Ageing.
