Showcasing our urban water expertise to the world

The Australian Water Association (AWA) has produced a new publication highlighting the achievements of the Australian water industry with the support of Austrade, the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, WaterAUSTRALIA and industry partners.

The publication was launched at a reception for industry representatives at Singapore International Water Week by Senator Don Farrell, Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and Urban Water, on Wednesday.

The publication provides an overview of the water reform process in Australia and the innovative work of the industry in agriculture, urban settings and mining. It also highlights the achievements of the Australian water industry, developed in response to the challenges of climatic extremes.

Singapore International Water Week brings together senior government, industry and academic representatives from around the world to address challenges, showcase technologies, discover opportunities and celebrate achievements in the water sector. Over 20 Australian firms are also attending the trade event to showcase the best of Australian capability in this sector.
