Australia’s Steriline supplies starting gates to Warsaw racetrack
01 May 2013
Steriline Racing has supplied starting gates to Poland’s main racetrack, kicking off Warsaw’s 2013 horseracing season with tough Australian-made gates that can withstand temperatures below freezing.
Steriline initially supplied equipment for the Warsaw racetrack, Sluzewiec, in 2004.
Track managers there said the high quality and durability of Steriline’s products led them to revisit the South Australian-based company for new gates that could withstand the chill of winter without deteriorating.
Steriline delivered the 12 and eight-stall barriers to Warsaw and assembled them in snowy conditions to ensure the equipment was installed and ready for the April start of race season.
The gates originally supplied by the Australian company remain operational and have been transferred to the racetrack in the resort city of Sopot on the Baltic Coast.
Steriline Racing is based in South Australia. It specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and service of starting gates and running rails for horseracing and greyhound competitions. Its equipment has been exported to nearly 50 countries worldwide.
