Australian green building seminars launch in Dubai

28 Mar 2013

Australian companies will have an opportunity to showcase their sustainable building capabilities at a series of Australian Green Building Seminars in the Middle East.

The series, organised by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and the Australian Consulate General, kicks off in Dubai in mid-April. Seminars will also be held in April in Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Doha and Rabat.

The seminars will give Australian companies an opportunity to highlight their expertise in green building, energy efficiency, and other aspects of environmental design, education and construction. They will also be able to meet potential customers in the Gulf region.

Gulf Cooperation Council countries face high energy prices, water scarcity and corporate and social responsibility obligations.

“Australia stands at the forefront of sustainable building practices with strong and established international credentials,” Austrade Senior Trade Commissioner Gerard Seeber said.

“Many of these companies are established in the UAE and have a strong track record of completed projects across the GCC,” he said.

In some seminar locations, Austrade will offer one-on-one business matching services for companies based in the GCC and those based in Australia.

Contact Business Development Manager Zareen Hussain for seminar details.
