Victorian manufacturer honoured for export success

Victorian company, ANCA, won the Large Advanced Manufacturer award at last night’s 50th Australian Export Awards, hosted in Canberra by Trade and Competitiveness Minister Craig Emerson.
Austrade State Director for Tasmania and Victoria, Margaret Bounader, said ANCA was an outstanding example of successful, export-focused manufacturing.
“This accolade provides recognition to a great Victorian company,” Ms Bounader said.
“ANCA exports 98 per cent of its products and has built its international reputation through innovation and a commitment to research and development.”
ANCA is a market-leading manufacturer of CNC tool grinders, the only company producing these products in Australia.
It achieved a 19 per cent increase in export sales during 2011-2012.
The Australian Export Awards program is co-presented by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the program, making it one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious business awards.
