ACT Company Honoured for Export Success
Austrade media release
9 December 2011
ACT company, Aspen Medical, has been recognised with the Large Services Award at last night's 49th Australian Export Awards, hosted by Trade Minister Craig Emerson in Brisbane.
The Australian Export Awards, co-presented by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is one of the country's oldest and most prestigious business award programs.
Austrade State Manager for NSW and ACT, Munish Sharma, said Aspen Medical's record showed ACT exporters could succeed in the world’s toughest markets, despite ongoing global uncertainty.
"I congratulate all this year’s winners, especially Aspen Medical," Mr Sharma said.
"Their commitment to quality and innovation serves as an inspiration to all aspiring exporters."
Aspen Medical provides health care solutions to clients around the world. It specialises in remote area operations, often working at short notice to organise personnel, equipment, facilities and pharmaceuticals.
In 2010–11, Aspen Medical had its best export year to date, securing new contracts in the Middle East and undertaking projects in Africa.
