Australian Wool Innovation opens office in Milan
21 Jul 2011
Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), owners of the iconic Woolmark brand, have opened an office in Milan. The move to Milan reflects the importance of the Italian market for Australian wool products.
Speaking about the opening, AWI CEO Stuart McCullough said “Australian Wool Innovation... now has two key and distinct offices and objectives in Italy. The company’s Biella office is now appropriately staffed to support the manufacturing activities of Italian wool processors. The new Milan office will ensure that iconic Italian retailers and brands have the resources they need to use and promote Australian Merino wool globally.”
Austrade has assisted AWI with its activities in various parts of the world over the years, including at events and exhibitions.
Australian Wool Innovation is a not-for-profit company owned by over 29,000 Australian woolgrowers. It invests in research, development, innovation and marketing along the global supply chain for Australian wool.
