Watercube wins again! 10 Feb 2009
The Australian-designed Watercube received another accolade last week, winning two categories in the 2008 International Design Awards competition. PTW Architects with ARUP and CCDI, won the prestigious "Architect of the Year" Award, as well as the "Conceptual" Award. The team is delighted to receive this recognition, competing against the world’s most visionary designers and new and emerging talent.

Woodhead International has been successfully operating in China for over ten years, with major projects including Qingdao Airport, Animation City Retail in Guangzhou, the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Qingdao, Xiangshan Hilltown, Taiping Lake Resort, Shaoxing CBD, and Xuyi Eco Agri City. The company is currently working on the Shanghai Pavilion for the 2010 Expo.

Australian aquatic equipment was chosen for China’s National Swimming Centre for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The equipment is made by Queensland-based Anti Wave, a company headed by founder, Anton Kajlich, a former professional water polo player.
