DesignBUILD 2010

Austrade International Delegate Program

The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), the Australian Government’s trade and investment promotion body, cordially invites you to attend the 2010 DesignBUILD Exhibition and partake in the 2010 Austrade International VIP program to gain a first hand understanding of Australia’s offering in urban development projects, with a strong focus on sustainability.

As an Austrade International VIP Delegate you will:

  • Find the latest building and construction product at the 2010 DesignBUILD Exhibition
  • Gain a first hand understanding of relevant urban projects in your priority market sectors including: residential, commercial, tourism and industrial (i.e. science parks, airports etc.)
  • Develop relationships with Australian urban development companies, consulting engineers, architects and other key service providers
  • Develop relationships with leading Australian practitioners and thought leaders on sustainable urban design and development
  • Gain a detailed understanding of Australian expertise: the ‘how to’ and benefits of green building

OPTION 2:  Barangaroo - Leading Australian Development

Showcase and networking reception hosted by Lend Lease

The Barangaroo urban development project is the latest large scale urban development example in Australia.  Barangaroo will be a world leading ecological development that aims to be water positive, zero waste, carbon neutral and a strong focus on community wellbeing.

This $A6bn project is located in the Sydney CBD, the site has 22-hectares and boasts a 1.4 kilometre Sydney Harbour foreshore.  It is planned to become a key commercial, residential and recreation precinct with over 22,000 workers and residents, 33,000 visitors a day, and a total of 12 million visitors a year.
