The 2011-12 grant year application forms will available for download in mid-May 2012. 

 

The 2011-12 grant year schedules will be available for downloadin mid-May in MS Excel format (.xls).

 

Refer to the EMDG Publications and Fact Sheets for further information and tips on applying.

REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS TO THE APPLICATION FORM

These documents must be submitted with your application form:

  • All relevant Schedules

If you are a first time applicant, you must also submit:

  • Your latest Financial Statements (profit and loss statement and balance sheet)
  • Information describing your business and product or service (brochure, company profile etc)

If you are a first time applicant who made a loss in 2011-12, you must also submit:

  • Information on how you intend to fund your export activities going forward

If you are claiming expenses of A$40,000 or more for an overseas representative, you must also submit:

  • Your latest Financial Statements (profit and loss statement and balance sheet)
  • Information describing the nature of activities undertaken by your overseas representative (current appointment letter or agreement, up to five monthly or weekly activity reports or emails confirming the representatives activities)

If you are promoting goods that are not made in Australia, you must also submit:

  • A detailed submission to show that Australia would derive a significant net benefit from the sale of goods outside of Australia. A submission template, along with other information to assist you is available in A guide to applicants seeking to export goods not manufactured in Australia.

If you have already received two or more grants and have selected the Option B Performance Measure, you must also submit:

  • Information and documents (including audited financial documents) to show Austrade that you should continue to receive EMDG support. Further details on these requirements can be found in the EMDG Performance Measure fact sheet.

Changes to EMDG

Read about recent changes to the EMDG scheme that apply to export promotion expenditure from 1 July 2010 and applications lodged from 1 July 2011.

EMDG Initial Payment
2010-11

The initial payment ceiling is the maximum amount that will be paid as a first instalment to reimburse eligible EMDG applicants.  The initial payment ceiling for the 2010-11 grant year is $50,000.

Recipients for the 2010-11 grant year with an entitlement up to and including $50,000 will be paid in full.  Those with entitlements above this amount will receive a second tranche payment at the end of June 2012.  The size of the second tranche will be determined at that time to distribute the remaining available funding.
