Chile education market profile

Australia and Chile have a strong bilateral relationship, based on many shared interests and cooperation.

A major development in bilateral relations was the Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement (ACl-FTA) in 2009, one of Australia's most liberalising trade agreements.

Australia has been recognised by the Chilean Government for its capacity to provide high quality education, and is currently the third-largest source of international students from Latin America, after Brazil and Colombia.
