Austrade launches Australia-India Alumni Forum on LinkedIn

Austrade has officially launched an Australia-India Alumni Forum on LinkedIn and invites Indian alumni from Australian education institutions to join the forum. The aim is to facilitate professional networking among alumni and profile successful Australian graduate outcomes in India.
The forum was launched at an alumni networking event in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in June and was attended by about 65 local alumni members. Trade Commissioner Patrick Kearins hosted the event on behalf of Austrade, with keynote speaker Mr Krishna Saini, Commissioner of Income Tax, Ahmedabad, sharing his experience of living and studying in Australia.
The creation of the forum provides a cost-effective and ongoing platform to engage Indian alumni from Australian universities and education institutions. The forum's objectives are to:
- facilitate professional networking and business opportunities among Indian alumni from Australian education institutions
- build professional relationships, share knowledge, form connections and exchange business ideas
- facilitate business opportunities between Australia and alumni organisations and professional contacts.
Australian education providers are encouraged to promote participation in the forum to their Indian alumni. Interested members can join the Australia-India Alumni Forum online.
