Korean Education Road Show highlights latest hot topics
The Korean Education Road Show 2011 has highlighted the latest hot topics in Korean international activities including individual institutions’ trends, barriers, opportunities, expectations and needs associated with international collaborative activities.
The Austrade Education Road Show, which aimed to build strong relationships with local universities, junior colleges and education agents in different regions (other than or outside of Seoul), was held 24–25 February in Daegu. It was attended by 20 representatives of Korean universities and junior colleges and 30 education agents from the region.
Austrade provided comprehensive presentations to Korean participants with an overview of the Australian education system, future opportunities concerning international activities with Australian education providers and information on how to efficiently work with Australian institutions.
The seminar was immediately followed by a networking dinner to enable each institution to share more detailed information in an informal setting. Feedback from Korean participants indicated that the session was extremely useful enabling collaboration of market information, development of valuable contacts and generation of real and productive outcomes.
The Austrade Korea education team is scheduled to hold the road show quarterly throughout the year starting with Daegu (February), Gwangju (June), Busan (September) and Daejeon (December).
