Austrade Vietnam delivers seminar on ‘Six Steps to Australia’
Austrade’s Hanoi office recently organised a seminar on the ‘Six Steps to Australia’ at Chu Van An High School, a leading school in Hanoi. The seminar, held on 29 December 2010, is part of the Study in Australia series that aims to raise awareness about Australia and its education system.
The seminar focused on six essential steps students who plan to study overseas need to bear in mind while preparing for their education journey. The seminar was very successful, with more than 60 grade 10 and 11 students participating, including an opening quiz on general information about Australia.
The ‘Six Steps to Australia’ are:
- study planning
- course selection
- application
- visa
- pre-departure
- arrival
Each step provides comprehensive information and guidance to students on how to plan and prepare for studying in Australia.
The students expressed enthusiasm about Australia as a country and its appealing academic environment. They eagerly and enthusiastically asked numerous questions relating to the ‘Six Steps’ including English requirements, studying progress, and scholarship applications. Information about partial English scholarships from Australian institutions was also provided to students during the seminar.
Similar sessions will be organised at selected schools in Vietnam throughout 2011 to enable Vietnamese students to better learn about Australia and its education system.
Austrade is happy to disseminate information about English scholarships from Australian providers through this seminar as a way to attract more students to choose Australia as their study destination. For more information, contact Le Thi Thu Hien at Austrade Hanoi.
