Forum to explore MOOCs impact on Australian international education

MOOCS & Digitisation, an upcoming Future of Higher Education and Skills Training conference, will look at the ways Australia’s international education industry will be impacted by MOOCs and other technology-driven disruptive business models emerging in education and skills training.
The conference will be held on Wednesday 10 April 2013 in Sydney and is organised by Global Mindset.

Key questions to be addressed at the forum include:
- the comparative impact of MOOCs on higher education versus vocational training
- MOOC certification and employability
- the impact of MOOCs in Asia.
A keynote address will be made by Professor Anant Agrawal, president of eDX, an online joint venture between Harvard and MIT. Panel speakers include:
- Andrew Thomson, Executive Director, Asia Pac, Cisco
- Professor Arun Sharma, DVC, Queensland University of Technology
- Iain martin, DVC (Academic), University of NSW
- Professor Pip Pattison, DVC (Academic), University of Melbourne
- Professor Uday Desai, Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderbad.
Concurrent afternoon sessions will focus on higher education, skills training and technology in education, respectively.
