Training seminar strengthens engagement with education agents
26 Oct 2012
An annual seminar on Australian education for Taiwan-based education agents has highlighted joint cooperation in education marketing and promotion and provided a key opportunity for agent engagement.
The Australian Education Specialists program (AESP) was organised by Austrade on 21 September 2012. Viewed as one of the major annual Australian education engagements in Taiwan, the briefing delivers up-to-date information on key aspects related to the marketing and promotion of Australian education opportunities.
The 2012 AESP was attended by 166 agents from 69 agencies, signifying not only an increase in attendance compared with 2011 but also a high level of interest in promoting Australian courses and institutions to prospective Taiwanese students.
Austrade is focused on developing stronger engagement with education agents in Taiwan who are looking to represent Australian education opportunities. Agencies are encouraged to contribute to a stronger sense of community through increased interaction with government and Australian institutions. Austrade also encourages Australian institutions to consolidate and clearly define pathways for communication between agents and institutions as highlighted in recent feedback provided by the education agent network.
The 2012 AESP session was again well supported by Australian Education International (AEI) and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), who delivered seminar sessions along with Austrade and Taiwan’s National Immigration Agency.
