Australian export case study

Box Hill Institute of TAFE* takes top honours when it comes to exporting education and learning.

Working with the Singapore Government, Box Hill Institute recently opened a campus in Singapore – Box Hill Institute Singapore – to deliver Continuing Education courses which focus on community and social services.

Specialised subjects delivered at the campus include student care (after school care), youth care and outreach, elder care, protection and rehabilitation, disability services, and ancillary support services.

Box Hill Institute is one of the largest TAFE colleges in Australia, with an enrolment of over 40,000 students during the past year. The Institute delivers a broad range of vocational education and training services, including tailored training services for government and industry.

Training is delivered in-house, on campus, or online, with programs designed to ensure that skills are not only transferred to the work place but also translate into improved business efficiencies.

The Institute’s international arm is currently selling into more than 60 countries, including Brazil, Chile, China, Egypt, India, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, and the US.

Austrade has helped Box Hill Institute to do business in many parts of the world.

“Austrade advised and supported us in preparation for our contract with the Singapore Government,” said Noel Lyons, the Institute’s Vice President International.

“Their advice was invaluable.”
