>>Adam Liaw: I think when I was first asked to be a part of Flavours of Australia I was really excited because there's two things I really love. Obviously Malaysia, being born here, having so much family here, and of course Australian produce and Australian food.
>> Being able to combine the two and come to Malaysia and showcase the amazing food that we have in Australia was just something a bit special to me I think. You know, combining my history plus my present.
>> In creating the menu I guess my inspiration was just looking at how people eat. I get asked a lot when I travel overseas "What is Australian food? What defines Australian food?" and I always think that Australian food is defined by a number of different influences, particularly Asian influences. We have a very strong Asian community in Australia and also fantastic produce, particularly in meat and seafood, Australian produce is something that really sets us apart from so many other cultures.
>> I guess you could say I'm an ambassador for Australian food and beverage around the world. It's firstly flattering but secondly, it's a really easy job. I love what we do in Australia; we have a great wine industry, we have great produce, we have a great food industry in general and to be able to share that with people as I travel around is a real privilege and I get to eat some good food too, so why not.
