How to report a suspected fraud

The EMDG Fraud Hotline is provided for those who wish to confidentially report suspected fraud on the Export Market Development Grants scheme.

Information provided by members of the public is highly valued and helps Austrade ensure EMDG grants are paid only to members of the export community entitled to them.

You may contact us by any of the following options:

  1. Telephone the EMDG Fraud Hotline on FreeCall 1800 006 352
  2. Email EMDG.fraudhotline@austrade.gov.au
  3. Send a letter to:

    The Manager
    Special Investigations Unit
    Austrade
    GPO Box 5301

Please make sure you provide us with as much information as you can about the circumstances of the suspected fraud, including name and location of the company and the names of the persons involved.

Confidentiality

Austrade is committed to protecting the confidentiality of everyone who reports suspected fraudulent activity.  Leaving a name and contact details are not necessary but it will help Austrade to investigate suspected fraud on the Export Market Development Grants scheme.  Austrade is subject to the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Trade Commission Act 1985 which require that all confidential information is protected.  As such, all records will be held securely and no information will be passed on to other departments or agencies except as privacy laws allow.
