The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) is an agency subject to the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act) and is required to comply with the Information Publication Scheme (IPS) requirements.
Agency Plan
Section 8(1) of the FOI Act requires an agency to prepare an agency plan.
In complying with this provision Austrade has drafted an Agency Plan how the IPS will be implemented and administered.

Austrade is the Australian Government’s trade and investment development agency.
Through a global network of offices in more than 100 locations in over 55 countries, we assist Australian companies to succeed in international business and attract foreign direct investment into Australia.

Austrade has one statutory appointment. This is the position of Austrade’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Grey. This position was appointed by the Minister for Trade under section 51 of the Australian Trade Commission Act 1985.
