Data Alert: Australia posts sustained lift in labour productivity

Australia has notched up solid improvement in labour productivity with its growth forecast to outperform the Group of Seven (G7) richest nations and many other mature economies into 2013.

The latest Total Economy Database report released by US-based economic research group The Conference Board has signalled a further lift in Australia’s labour productivity.

The latest data released by Australian Bureau of Statistics has confirmed that Australia posted a solid improvement in labour productivity growth in 2012 and 2013.

Australia’s impressive result reflects the country’s highly skilled, innovative, multilingual workforce and long-term investment in education and training.
