David Campbell
Consul General Frankfurt and
Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, West Europe

David Campbell was appointed Consul General Frankfurt and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, West Europe in February 2013. He manages a network of offices in major European markets and is responsible for attracting European businesses to establish operations in Australia, promoting Australia as a study destination and assisting Australian companies to enter the European market. In addition his consular team provides services to the southern regions of Germany.

David joined Austrade from the financial services industry with more than 18 years of experience in Australasian and UK/European markets.

Originally a lawyer, he has held numerous senior business development roles in the wholesale and investment banking sectors. Most recently David was a Managing Director with UBS where he managed the Melbourne office of the global Wealth Management business and was a member of the Australian Executive Committee.

Stefan Augustin

Since 2011 Stefan Augustin has been the Team Leader and Manager of the Frankfurt marketing and investment team.

Stefan commenced working for Austrade in 2005 and worked as a Business Development Manager on trade promotion in the food and beverage, consumer products and clean energy sector. In 2009 Stefan started working as an Investment Manager promoting investment opportunities to European companies active in the clean energy and environment sector as well as advanced manufacturing segment with a particular focus on rail and automotive. His main focus area now is on the promotion of Australia as an innovation hub to foreign companies.

Before he joined the investment function at Austrade he worked as a Business Development Manager in export promotion for the same organisation. Main focus sectors were food and beverages, consumer products as well as clean tech. Prior to this role he worked for various international governmental organisations in trade and investment promotion.

He studied business at the University for Applied Sciences in Frankfurt, Germany and in Tralee, Ireland.

Simone Greulich

Simone Greulich has been in the role of Investment Manager with responsibility to attract, promote and facilitate investment from Europe into Australia as well as R&D collaborations since November 2006. Her current focus is on the German-speaking markets, the Netherlands, and key sectors such as ICT, Innovation and Clean Energy (primarily Energy Efficiency and Green Buildings), though other industries have been covered in the past.

Prior to joining Austrade, Simone worked for the Australian subsidiary of a German company in Melbourne. She has experience in strategic marketing and customer relationship management and was in charge of campaigns, events, database, project management and business development.

She studied European Business and Technology (Business Engineering) at the University of Applied Sciences in Reutlingen, Germany, and the Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci in Paris, France, and graduated with a German and French degree in Business Administration. A native German speaker, Simone is also fluent in English and French.

Johanna Harvey

Johanna Harvey first joined Austrade in Frankfurt in October 2009. Her role was primarily focused on promoting Australia as a foreign direct investment location to German, Swiss and Austrian financial services companies. She now works in the fields of advanced manufacturing, rail, clean technology (biofuels) and innovation.

Andreas Seidel

Andreas Seidel joined Austrade in 2001 and worked in a variety of business development roles. His investment focus covers the areas of mining, oil and gas and their respective supply chains. In addition he looks after rare earths and nanotechnologies.

Nur Sidki Gomez

Nur Sidki Gomez joined the Austrade Frankfurt team in October 2011 as Investment Manager with responsibility to attract, promote and facilitate investment from Europe into Australia, focusing on German-speaking markets, Denmark, and key sectors such as Life Sciences, Agrifood Technologies, Tourism Infrastructure and Innovation. Prior to joining Austrade, Nur worked for the Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) industry as Business Development Manager and was responsible for developing and fostering relationships with key decision-makers at biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

Before she moved to Germany, Nur supervised a team of six as head of an AgBiotech start-up in Australia based in Brisbane, where she was responsible for new business development and expansion of export in key market regions (Asia, Europe, America and Africa) as well as actively representing the biotech sector of the State of Queensland in many trade events. As Commercial Officer at the Spanish Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria, she developed export and investment strategies for Spanish companies seeking to enter Eastern European markets by liaising with private and public sector institutions.

Nur studied European Business and International Management at the Rotterdam Business School, The Netherlands, in conjunction with the Cámara de Comercio e Industria Madrid, Spain. She speaks fluent Spanish, English, German, French and conversational Bulgarian.
