UK provider to oil and gas industry expands Australian operations 8 April 2010 The United-Kingdom-based oil services group, OEG Offshore, has expanded its Australian operations. OEG Offshore is a specialist provider of A60 pressurised engineering cabins, containers and baskets for the offshore oil and gas industry. The group is growing its operations in Western Australia with the formation of a subsidiary based in Perth and has recently invested A$1 million for a fleet of Perth-located containers and A60-rated cabins. In the Northern Territory, OEG Offshore has linked with Darwin-based fuel handling equipment specialist, Tank and Pump Services (TPS). TPS will act as OEG Offshore’s regional representative, handling all the group’s operations in the Northern Territories, East Timor and Papua New Guinea. A fleet of up to a hundred OEG units is expected to be on the ground at the Darwin base shortly. Craig Russell, Commercial Director of the OEG Offshore Group said that the company is actively growing its presence in the Asia Pacific region. “This is the latest phase of OEG's long-term plans to create a global network where we can provide customers with readily available support anywhere in the world," he said.
