IBM opens new IT Service Centre in Australia 14 December 2009 The US business and software giant, IBM, has opened a new state-of-the-art facility in Australia. The $10.8 million IT service centre is located at the University of Ballarat Technology Park, in Ballarat, central Victoria. The facility will be a new delivery hub for IBM’s Global Technology Services (GTS) business, providing Remote Technical Support, eSecurity, Business Processing, and ICT support and consulting services for the company’s clients in Australia, Europe, the Asia Pacific region and the United States. One of the world’s largest developers and manufacturers of advanced information technologies, IBM last year posted revenues of US103.6 billion and a net income of US$12.3 billion. More information |
