UK boutique management asset firm opens in Australia
11 September 2009
The UK-based management asset firm, The Cambridge Strategy, has opened an office in Sydney.
Cambridge reported that it gained a $150 million mandate last year from an Australian institutional investor, which was seen as the first step to building a larger business in Australia.
Marketing Director Derek Doupe noted that the company’s initial focus in Australia will be on institutional super schemes.
He said that Cambridge’s strong risk management credentials were well suited to the sophisticated Australian market.
Mr Doupe added that the company will take advantage of its global spread – with offices now in London, Hong Kong and Sydney – to allow 24 hour currency risk trading and research from the Sydney office. |
