Software developer opens office in Melbourne

SilverStripe, the Wellington, New Zealand-based developer of computer software, applications, and open source content management systems (CMS), has opened an office in Melbourne.

In business since 2000, SilverStripe has been reported as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Asia-Pacific region.

A developer and strong advocate of open source software, SilverStripe released its Content Management System and Application Framework in 2006 as a free open source download and notes that there are now over 100,000 copies of the SilverStripe platform in use worldwide.

SilverStripe is one of only ten companies worldwide selected by Microsoft to feature in its suite of free applications for web developers.
