US pharmaceutical services company opens new office in Australia

21 October 2009

The US regulatory affairs and product development consulting company, Ground Zero Pharmaceuticals, has opened a new office in Australia.

The new office, in Brisbane, will offer support to Australian clients taking their programs to the United States Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).

Ground Zero Pharmaceuticals, based in the biotech centre of Irvine, California, provides services across many therapeutic areas, including in the management of medical product portfolios, and technology assessment, as well as arranging partnering and joint ventures for intellectual property in pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical devices.

Three years ago, the company opened an office in Melbourne. At the same time, it substantially increased the number of Australian and US firms and programs that it represented to the FDA for early discovery through to full-scale clinical development and approval.

Ground Zero Pharmaceuticals was established in 1987. The company also provides preclinical study planning and review, bio-statistical analysis, medical writing, manufacturing compliance, regulatory and medical strategy, and clinical trials conduct for programs.
