Japanese truck manufacturer opens expanded Australian new parts facility 5 November 2009 The Japanese truck manufacturer, Isuzu, has opened a vastly expanded new parts warehouse facility in Australia. With 12,000 square metres of racked storage space and offices, the new facility supports Isuzu’s truck, marine and industrial engine parts requirements. Located within the same Melbourne estate as the previous warehouse, the new facility is twice the size of its predecessor and is geared to provide for future expansion. Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Limited (Japan). The company’s vehicles were initially marketed in Australia by General Motors Holden and today account for one in every four trucks sold in the country, with a market share of 25.2 per cent in 2008.
