Australia scores well in providing ‘right investment climate for clean energy’ 6 November 2009 Australia scores well in providing the ‘right investment climate for clean energy’, according to the Deutsche Bank’s recent Climate Change Policy Tracker – an Investor’s Assessment (PDF). The research, published by Deutsche Bank’s Asset Management division, provides investors with analysis of climate change policies and assigns a risk rating to 109 countries. Australia was ranked as one of the lowest risk countries, along with Brazil, China, France, Germany and Japan. The report noted that ‘these countries have strong incentives in place, along with a consistent approach, demonstrated through well-considered plans’. The report is the first publicly available analysis of its kind, incorporating the results of a model prepared by Columbia Climate Center. More information |
