Japanese conglomerate invests in new Australian data facility 10 November 2009 The global conglomerate, Fujitsu Corporation, has invested in a multi-million dollar, purpose-built data centre in Perth, Western Australia, to be opened next year. The environmentally sustainable facility will incorporate the latest energy-efficient technology, backed by sophisticated building control management systems, as well as state-of-the-art biometric and other security technologies. The Fujitsu Corporation is the leading IT services provider in Japan and the fourth largest in the world, reporting consolidated revenues of US$47 billion in early 2009, while Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand ranks as the third largest ICT company in Australasia.
