Japanese conglomerate invests in new Australian data facility

10 November 2009

The global conglomerate, Fujitsu Corporation, has invested in a multi-million dollar, purpose-built data centre in Perth, Western Australia, to be opened next year.

The environmentally sustainable facility will incorporate the latest energy-efficient technology, backed by sophisticated building control management systems, as well as state-of-the-art biometric and other security technologies.

The Fujitsu Corporation is the leading IT services provider in Japan and the fourth largest in the world, reporting consolidated revenues of US$47 billion in early 2009, while Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand ranks as the third largest ICT company in Australasia.

Fujitsu supplies a wide range of communications and computing products, including mobile phones and PCs, advanced microelectronics, LSI devices, electronic components, and systems and services expertise.
