Leading delivery and logistics provider invests in major new airfreight facility in Australia 13 November 2009 DHL, a leading provider of international express delivery and logistics services, has invested in a 50,000-square meter airfreight facility in Australia. Located at Melbourne Airport, the $35 million facility will allow for an increase in the quantities of perishable products such as fresh foods which can be rapidly transported from the region to international destinations. With its headquarters in Belgium, DHL is owned by Deutsche Post AG and runs a network covering 220 countries and territories around the world. Amadou Diallo, Chief Executive of DHL’s South Asia Pacific Global Forwarding, said that the company had recorded double digit growth in Australia during recent years.
