Singapore ICT manufacturer to open R&D centre in Australia

20 July 2010

LAI Games, the Singapore-headquartered developer and manufacturer of computer games, will open a new facility in Brisbane.

This is the second research and development centre for the company in Australia, and will be used to focus on product development.

Chris McGrath, LAI Games’ International Product Manager, said that the company chose Australia for its second studio because “the country is demographically aligned to our international markets, plus Australia has a ready pool of talented game and graphic designers to meet our needs.”

He added that he expects the Australian creative R&D team will add a fresh new perspective to Game concepts.

LAI Games manufactures coin-operated Play to Prize Vending Games, Ticket Redemption Games, Novelty Games and Kiddies Rides.
