UK chemical producer expands in Australia 20 August 2010 The United Kingdom-based chemical producer, Norkem, has expanded its operations in Australia with the opening of a new office in Alexandria, Sydney. The company already has production facilities in Australia for products used by the construction industry. A leading international stockist, distributor and producer of high quality speciality and general chemicals, Norkem was established forty years ago. The privately-owned company now provides chemicals and chemical additives across a wide range of industries, including to pharmaceutical, food, and agriculture sectors. Norkem is a member of the Chemical Business Association in the UK, and has dedicated teams for REACH (the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and GHS (the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals). All substances available for sale that fall under the criteria of these regulations are pre-registered.
