Austrade attending 2010 World Investment Forum 5 August 2010 The Australian Trade Commission – Austrade – will take part in the 2010 World Investment Forum in Xiamin, China, from September 6 – 9. The Forum, which is being organised by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, will bring together more than a thousand businessmen and international investment experts and practitioners, as well as international organisations, governments and investment promotion agencies from around the world. Highlights of the Forum include: - Tripartite Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Issues Sessions: CEOs and chief strategists from the world’s largest multinational corporations, and senior government officials will discuss FDI issues.
- World Leaders Investment Summit: Political leaders and CEOs of the world’s largest transnational corporations will discuss the new international investment landscape in the post-crisis era.
- Ministerial Round Table: Ministers in charge of investment policies from leading FDI source and recipient countries will address policy coherence, including balancing investment liberalisation and regulation.
- Sustainable Stock Exchanges 2010: Building responsible capital markets.
- International Investment Agreements Conference 2010: International investment agreements in the new era.
