Canadian oil and gas explorer to open regional headquarters in Australia 11 August 2010 The Canadian global upstream oil and gas exploration company, Talisman Energy, has announced that it will open Australasian regional headquarters in Brisbane, Queensland. An independent Calgary-based company, Talisman Energy is listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges. Dave Nolan, Talisman Australasia’s Vice President Australia and Papua New Guinea, said that the new Brisbane regional headquarters would support Papuan and Australasian operations across a range of activities including engineering, drilling, sub-surface and project management and development. In South-East Asia, Talisman owns and operates large oil and gas fields in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, as well as holding oil producing assets in Australia and recently acquired gas fields in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea. Talisman Energy received support from the Australian Trade Commission – Austrade, the Queensland Government and Brisbane Marketing in establishing the Brisbane regional office. More information |
