California-based technology companies choose Australia for new offices

23 June 2011

Two California-based technology companies have identified Australia as the location for their new operations.

San Francisco-based Marin Software has chosen Sydney as its newest Asia-Pacific office to serve its advertiser and agency customers in Australia.

Marin Software has offices on four continents, with 800 clients worldwide, and manages more than A$2 billion in annualised online advertising spend.

Marin’s products operate across global search engines and markets to allow companies to better optimise their online advertising spend.

“The opening of our Australia office is another step toward creating local Marin offices in every major global market,” said Chris Lien, CEO of Marin Software. “Marin believes in establishing local teams to work hand-in-hand with our advertiser partners so they can improve campaign performance at both national and global levels.”

This follows earlier news of another California-based IT company, Kerio Technologies, opening an office in Sydney. The company specialises in Internet technology products that enable businesses to connect, communicate and collaborate securely.

"We know it is critical to offer direct local support to our reseller channel and the new office will bring an even closer connection to partners who are selling and supporting our products," said Abi Vickram, Channel Manager for Kerio in Australia. "We look forward to welcoming not only our Sydney-based partners, but those from Melbourne, Brisbane and New Zealand as well."
