American IT company chooses Australia for regional headquarters 27 January 2011 SolarWinds, a USA-based information technology company has chosen Brisbane, Queensland as the location for its Asia-Pacific headquarters. The company is a leading provider of IT management software to more than 97,000 companies worldwide. The Brisbane office houses sales, customer support and services for Australasia and the greater Asia-Pacific region. A development team will focus on localising the SolarWinds product family to effectively enter new markets in the region, such as Japan. Doug Hibberd, SolarWinds Senior Vice President, Engineering, and General Manager APAC Operations said, “The team we are building in Brisbane will be tasked with several priorities in the coming 12 months, from supporting the continued expansion of our presence in region, to preparing our product suite for entrance into new markets. “We believe this community has the talent pool and local support needed to help us achieve our goals,” Mr Hibberd said.
