UK engineering firm chooses Australia for first overseas office

9 February 2011

United Kingdom high-end engineering consultancy Frazer-Nash will open its first overseas office in Adelaide, South Australia, to take advantage of commercial opportunities in the defence industry.

The company seeks to provide its diverse range of high-end engineering services more easily to the Australian defence force, power, resources and transport industries.

Phil Harris, Frazer-Nash’s Australian Business Manager said locating the Australian office in Adelaide signifies Frazer-Nash’s long term ambitions for growing business in Australia.

“South Australia has a positive attitude to investment in the high technology industry. It is a prime hub in the defence industry, with numerous facilities and major programs based locally, such as the maintenance of the Collins class submarine fleet.

“Adelaide also benefits from a number of excellent universities which will provide us with a valuable recruitment pool in the future,” Mr Harris said.
