USA’s Silver Peak Systems expands into Australia

California-based IT company, Silver Peak Systems has expanded into Australia with offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
The offices are part of the company’s strategy to extend its growth into Australia, New Zealand and the greater Asia- Pacific region.
Silver Peak Systems specialises in data centre class wide area network (WAN) optimisation. Its appliances can optimise all IP traffic, regardless of transport protocol and application version.
Founder and chief technology officer David Hughes, who holds a PhD from Wollongong University in NSW, said, “Data centre class WAN optimisation is pivotal to address the rigorous WAN requirements for IT initiatives such as disaster recovery, business continuity and virtual desktop infrastructures.
