Global marketing consulting company opens office in Australia

Global strategy and marketing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has opened a new office in Sydney, as part of its expansion in to the Asia-Pacific region.

Simon-Kucher & Partners has 23 offices worldwide, specialising in enhancing product pricing strategy and price optimisation, establishing and tracking key pricing metrics, developing brand and product launch strategies and improving sales force performance. The company’s annual turnover in 2010 was EUR100 million.

Simon-Kucher & Partners was already in touch with Australian firms prior to setting up here — and executives met with potential clients during a prior site visit to Australia.

Given the high interest the company had received from their existing and future client base in Australia, it then sought to capitalise on the potential niche markets.

Simon-Kucher & Partners Managing Director, Australia, Christoph Petzoldt said although Australia’s consulting market was mature, new opportunities were already emerging.

“There’s practically no other country in which the interest is as high as here,” he said.

“Our expertise in price management has resonated well among the Australians and is a major competitive advantage for us,” Mr Petzoldt said.

This investment success is the result of the joint efforts of Austrade and Industry & Investment NSW. Both organisations assisted the company with setting up business in Australia.
