US computing giant opens data centre in Australia27 June 2012The world’s largest IT company, Hewlett Packard, has recently opened a data centre in Eastern Creek, Sydney. Hewlett Packard’s Next Generation data centre, which was announced as a multi-million dollar investment last year, is part of HP’s US$1 billion push to build new, modernised facilities and put in place the infrastructure which organisations need for cloud computing service, application modernisation, and data centre transformation. The new facility will provide resources to help clients simplify their applications and improve business processes while increasing operational efficiency and reliability. Established over seventy years ago, Hewlett Packard now operates in over 170 countries around the world, bringing together a portfolio that spans printing, personal computing, software, services and IT infrastructure problems.
