Akamai’s new Australian office supports growth and innovation in Asia

8 August 2012

Leading North American cloud platform provider, Akamai Technologies, has announced the opening of its second Australian office as part of a move to grow the company throughout the Asia Pacific region.

With the creation of two new offices, one in Melbourne and another in Taiwan, Akamai hopes to better service its existing Asia Pacific customers and extend its reach throughout the region’s growth markets.

The new office in Melbourne will see Akamai invest in local staff and commit to a stronger presence in Australia after having already established an office in Sydney.

Announcing the company’s regional expansion, Akamai Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan, Sanjay Singh, said the company will be well positioned to support new and existing cloud security customers throughout Australian and the Asia Pacific.

“The Asia Pacific is a very strong region for Akamai and is headquarters to many of the globe’s most innovative businesses,” said Mr Singh.
