Australian infrastructure pipeline grows by A$1 billion
19 September 2012
Australia has listed an additional A$1 billion worth of major infrastructure investment projects in just three months, according to the National Infrastructure Construction Schedule (NICS).
Records from the national database show that 14 new projects, each valued at A$50 million or more, were added to Australia’s infrastructure pipeline between May and July 2012. In total, 73 projects with a combined value of A$57 billion are now registered on the NICS.
With investment in Australia’s roads, railways, electricity generators and water facilities expected to grow by 13 and 9.5 per cent over the coming two years, the NICS has become an important resource for infrastructure providers seeking project details and investment opportunities in Australia.
Since the establishment of the national database for Australia’s infrastructure project pipeline in May 2012, NICS has registered more than 800,000 hits.
Investors can now register for regular updates via the new NICS RSS feed.
