Australia’s credentials strong for international investors

Much anticipated, the just-published Austrade Benchmark Report for 2012 outlines Australia’s strong credentials and summarises exactly what the country has to offer international investors.
Under the heading, ‘Australia means opportunities’, the report provides succinct and informative sections on Growth, Innovation, Talent, Location and Business in Australia, backed by fifty pages of facts, figures, graphs and tables.
And there is a very good story to tell.
Australia has now enjoyed 21 consecutive years of growth and is the only nation to rank in the top five of the world’s most resilient economies since 2008. Rated AAA by all three global rating agencies, Australia’s real GDP growth is expected to outperform that of every other major advanced economy over the five year period to 2017.
Australia’s strength in mining and resources is well known, but the economy is actually services based, with a highly educated, multilingual workforce and an advanced innovation framework.
Strategically located in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region, with strong trade links to global markets and one of the world’s most transparent and well-regulated business environments, Australia is a country where it’s easy to business and where there are many rewards for international investors.
