Desire2Learn, a global leader in cloud-based (SaaS) learning solutions, has opened Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Melbourne, Australia.
The company, which is headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario (Canada), has over 700 clients around the world and more than eight million learners in higher education, K-12 (kindergarten through year 12), healthcare, government and the corporate sector.
The new Melbourne office is an expansion of Desire2Learn’s operations in the Asia-Pacific region and will provide a centralised location for sales, customer support, and professional services teams.
Ian Smissen, Desire2Learn’s Director of Operations for Asia-Pacific, said that Melbourne is an ideal location for the company’s Asia-Pacific base. “And we look forward to attracting world-class talent that will help us deliver positive impact to our customers,” he said.
Desire2Learn has also recently invested in installations of state-of-the-art data centres in Melbourne and Sydney that provide cloud-based SaaS solutions for clients.
