UK energy efficiency company EMSc expands into Australia

24 May 2013

UK-based EMSc has launched its energy efficiency operations in Australia to expand its business into the Asia-Pacific region.

Paul North, EMSc Group International Business Development Manager, said the reputation of the company’s Powerstar voltage optimisation product, which ultimately aims to reduce a company’s carbon footprint, has spread.

“In Australia, we boast well-known companies including Coles Supermarkets, Coles Express, numerous councils and many other small and large power users amongst our client base,” Mr North said at the opening of the company’s Melbourne office.

"To continue developing market opportunities in the region we are keen to formalise relationships with local consultants, distributors and installation partners," he said.

Powerstar systematically reduces a site's voltage to correct operational level and cleans the supply to reduce electricity consumption and improve a company’s carbon footprint, EMSc said in a statement.

EMSc (UK) Ltd manufactures the Star range of energy-saving solutions, including its flaghip Powerstar voltage optimisation system. Headquartered in Sheffield in the UK, its head office is supported by offices in Australia and Cyprus.
