India’s Persistent Systems to open Asia-Pacific headquarters in Australia

Indian-based software company Persistent Systems will open its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Australia, adding to the nation’s reputation as an IT services leader.
Persistent Systems’ new offices in Sydney will oversee operations in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia, as well as develop new business.
The Chairman and Managing Director of Persistent Systems, Anand Deshpande, said the company was pleased to open its Sydney offices to support the needs of its independent software vendor customers and expanding regional customer base.
"Australia is a growing, technologically advanced market with a rapidly increasing start-up community,” Dr Deshpande said.
Persistent Systems, established in 1990, has headquarters in Pune, India and the Silicon Valley seat of Santa Clara, California. It focuses on cloud computing, mobility, analytics and collaboration for telecommunications, life sciences, consumer packaged goods, banking and financial services and healthcare. It has offices in India, the US, UK, France, The Netherlands, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. It employs more than 6,750 people worldwide.
