The Institute is Austrade's 'corporate university', which is designed to enrich Austrade people, benefit Austrade operations and contribute to Australia's stock of internationally experienced business people.
The Institute is virtual in structure and consists of three key components:

- Research and development framework for leading edge research in key fields of interest to Austrade and the business community
