Statistics

Austrade assists Australian businesses to enter overseas markets and therefore provides up-to-date cultural and economic information about overseas countries to inform Australian businesses in the market information section.

Businesses select overseas markets based on a range of criteria, including demographic, cultural and commercial information. A new overseas market research file (116KB) provides links to data, articles and agencies with useful market information.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is responsible for Australia's trade policy and trade agreements. DFAT provides general economic and trade statistics on most countries in the country fact sheets as well as a range of more detailed trade statistics. The Australian fact sheets provide some general information about Australia’s trade and industries.
