The Australian pavilion

Australia will have a significant national presence at the Shanghai World Expo 2010 from May to October 2010. The Australian pavilion will provide a unique platform to help strengthen business, cultural and people to people links with China. It will host a 'business program' of over 200 events including targeted seminars, high-level official visits, business networking events and trade and investment promotion activities. These events, hosted in a dedicated VIP facility, will help to strengthen the bilateral relationship and showcase Australian creativity, innovation and commercial capability.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is managing Australia’s 'whole-of-government' and 'whole of nation' presence at the Expo 2010. For more information on the pavilion and its associated programs, see: www.australianpavilion.com
Austrade's business networking events
Austrade plans to hold a number of networking events as part of the business program at the Australian pavilion during the Shanghai World Expo 2010. They will encompass a wide range of sectors including: agribusiness, clean energy and environmental technology, mining services and technology, food and wine, design, construction and urban planning, financial, legal and business services, creative industries, ICT, automotive, sport.

Shanghai World Expo 2010
The Australian National Pavilion will provide Australia with a significant national presence at the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
From 1 May to 31 October 2010, targeted business promotion events held in the pavilion's dedicated VIP area – the “business program” – will highlight Australian capability in key industry sectors, help to boost trade and two-way investment, and expand institutional and people-to-people links.

China International Small and Medium Enterprise Fair

Australia is guest country of honour at the 7th CISMEF and Austrade is organising an Australian pavilion which will be Australia’s largest-ever trade presence in China. CISMEF is China’s largest fair for SMEs in Guangzhou and in 2009 attracted 3,935 exhibitors and 254,600 visitors and achieved sales of A$20.6 billion.
